Season brisket to taste with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.  Place sliced onions on bottom of roasting pan.  Place brisket on top.  Mix preserves, ketchup and Grandma's Cool & Zesty Dressing.  Pour over brisket.  Cover tightly and bake 4 hours at 350 degrees or until brisket is tender.
